Pizza with Sauerkraut
Makes 2 (14") pizza's
1 pkg. (13-3/4 oz) hot roll mix
Cooking oil
1/2 lb. mild Italian sausage, sliced
1 small onion, chopped
1 pkg. (16 oz.) sauerkraut, drained
2 cans (8 oz. each), tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. basil leaves
1 green pepper, cut into strips
1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese sliced
Grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 450°.
Prepare hot roll mix according to package directions for pizza dough.
Pat out halh the dough onto each pizza pan.
Brush dough with oil.
In skillet brown sausage and onion, drain drippings.
Stir in sauerkraut, tomato sauce and basil; heat through.
Spread sauerkraut mixture over pizza dough. Top with green pepper and cheeses. Bake 15-20 minutes.
