Polish Hunter’s Stew (Bigosa)
1 Cup ham
2T oil
2 bay leaves
16 oz. can sauerkraut
8 oz. jar mushrooms
2 medium chopped onion
1 jalapeno pepper (chopped)
3/4 cup white wine (Gallo Rhine)
1 Tbl. caraway seeds
16 oz. can tomatoes (crushed)
1/2 cup water
1 medium head chopped cabbage
3 Tbl. flour
1 cup bouillon
2 cups sliced kielbasa
Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Crock it for 10 to 12 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving.
Serving suggestion: serve over boiled potatoes
