Chicken Breasts with Pear

4 chicken breasts, skinned and boned
2 tsp paprika powder or pepper
1/2 dl 1/6 cup lime or lemon juice
1 large can (825 g) halved pears in light syrup or pear juice
1 one-glove garlic, sliced
1 red onion, cut into half-rings
2/3 cup cream
Serve with basmati rice

Sprinkle the chicken breasts with paprika or pepper. Heat the iron pan very hot, put some butter and oil in it, and "seal" the chicken breasts all over in the hot pan. Remove into the teflon skillet, pour over the lime juice, sprinkle the garlic and onion all over the chicken and cover with lid.

Put a very low heat under the pan (with gas it's much more difficult; I have an electric herd and I usually heat the plate, put the covered skillet on it and turn the heat off. I guess you could make this dish in the oven, too.).

Start the rice. It takes about 30 minutes, and the chicken may simmer for that time. When the rice is nearly done, pour the pear halves over the chicken, and half of the syrup. When the rice is done, pour the cream over the chicken and let come to boil. Serve.
