Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

1 quart water
3 skinned and boned chicken breast halves -- cut into bite-size pieces
2 (9-ounce) packages refrigerated fettuccine
1 (17-ounce) jar Alfredo sauce with mushrooms
3/4 cup light sour cream


Bring 1 quart water to a boil in a Dutch oven. Add chicken, and cook 12 minutes or until done. Remove chicken from water with a slotted spoon, and set aside. Add pasta, and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until tender; drain. Return chicken and pasta to Dutch oven. Stir in Alfredo sauce and sour cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 1 to 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serve immediately.
