Chicken Pot Pie

1 Pillsbury® pie crust (Red box)
1/3 cup margarine
1/3 cup flour
Onion powder to taste
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 3/4 cup canned chicken broth
2/3 cup milk
1 cup shredded potatoes
1 cup shredded carrots
2 cups cut-up chicken
1 (8 oz) can petite peas


You may use any kind of chicken for this, a whole chicken, or breast fillets. Boil chicken till done and then, de-bone.

Preheat oven to 425° F.

Heat margarine over low heat, add flour, salt, onion powder, and pepper. Cook till smooth and bubbly. Take off heat.

Whisk in chicken broth and milk. Put back on heat, bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Take off heat.

Add chicken and vegetables.

Pour into pie crust. Make a few slits in the top of the crust. Cover with foil till last 10 minutes.

Bake at 425 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
