Great Jerky

3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp cracked pepper
1 TBLSP. brown sugar
1 garlic clove-crushed
2 TBLSP. soy sauce
1 TBLSP. worchestershire sauce
1 lb. lean meat
3/16 -1/4 in thick


Combine all ingredients except meat mix well. Place meat on dry flat surface. Spread both sides with salt mixture; place in a tightly covered container and marinate 6-12 hours in fridge. Stir occasionally. Dry



Teriyaki Jerky

1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 TBLSP. ground ginger
2 TBLSP. brown sugar
1 clove garlic -crushed
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 lb. meat, 3/16-1/4 in thick


Combine all ingredients except meat; mix well. Place meat 3-4 layers deep in container, spooning sauce mixture over each layer. Cover tightly and marinate 6-12 hours, stirring occasionally. Dry



Sweet and Sour Jerky

1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
2 TBLSP. brown sugar
1 TBLSP. soy sauce
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup pineapple juice
1 lb. meat, 3/16-1/4 in. thick

Directions same as above




Curried Jerky

1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/16 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. ground cumin
1 1/2 tsp. curry powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 lb.meat, 3/16-1/4 in thick


Place meat in single layer and marinate with sauce 6-12 hours, stirring occasionally



Frontier Jerky

1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 TBLSP. Worcestershire sauce
2 TBLSP. liquid smoke
1 lb. meat, 3/16- 1/4 in thick


Place meat in 3-4 layers. Marinate 6-12 hours stirring occasionally.



Western BBQ Jerky

1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp. cayanne pepper
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried mustard
3 TBLSP. brown sugar
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/3 cup ketchup
1 lb. lean meat, 3/16-1/4 in thick

Place meat in 3-4 layers. Marinate 6-12 hours stirring occasionally
