Wash fruit. Remove outer thin rind from lemons; cut into strips and grate. Remove edible fruit meats from lemons and oranges. Discard seeds and membranes. Place meat of citrus fruits and prepared rind in bowl and cover with water. Let soak 8 - 10 hours. Bring to boil and simmer gently until tender.
Remove peel and pits from peaches, pears and apples. Cut in cubes and add to first mixture. Bring to boil adding sugar gradually. Stir until dissolved. Simmer gently for about 15 minutes until mixture thickens as for jam.
Pour into hot sterilized jars. Seal with melted wax. Let cool, cover and store in cool, dark, dry place. Yield: 3 quarts
