(they taste like Bread and Butter pickles)
12 cucumbers, peeled and sliced, not too thin
2 onions, sliced
2 green peppers, copped
2 cups of white vinegar
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup sea salt
Combine cucumbers, onions and peppers in a large stainless steel pan or bowl.
In a large pan bring the remaining ingredients to a boil and boil until clear. Cool and then pour over cucumber mixture. Let set overnight at room temperature.
Pack to freeze in pint jars, or refrigerate and eat. They will keep quite a while in the refrigerator. If you freeze, let them thaw, but best while ice is still on them.
