Spareribs with Barbecue Sauce

3 pounds spareribs, cut into serving pieces
salt/pepper/paprika
1 tbl. shortening or oil
1 large onion sliced
1/4 cup catsup
2 tbls. vinegar
1 tea. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tea. chili powder
1/4 tea. celery seed
1/2 cup water


Season the ribs with salt,pepper and paprika. Heat cooker and add shortening/oil; brown ribs on both sides. Add sliced onion. Combine catsup, vinegar, Worchestershire sauce, chili powder, celery seed and water. Pour sauce over meat in Cooker.

Close cover securely. Put on vent pipe and cook 15 minutes at 15 lbs. Let pressure drop of its own accord.

Serves 4-5.
