1/3-1/2 cup short grain rice (regular, arborio, japanese)
2 cups milk (any kind, but the richer the creamier)
1 1/2" piece cinnamon stick
2 tbsp. sugar
raisins or chopped apples to taste
Put everything into a pot and bring to a boil. Stir, cover and turn heat to barely simmer. It is done when the milk is absorbed (about 45 to 60 minutes).
Eat warm or cold sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar if desired.
