Rice Pilaf

1 onion -- medium diced
1 ounce butter
1 cup rice
1 bay leaf
salt
white pepper
2 cups chicken stock
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Saute onion in butter for 5 minutes, covered. Add rice and bay leaf. Saute 3 minutes, stirring rice well to coat. Add salt, white pepper and chicken stock. Stir, blending well.
Bring stock to boil, cover pan and put into 350
oven and cook 20 minutes or until rice done.
