Creamy Italian Dressing

1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup low-fat yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons onion, minced
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. minced fresh parsley
1 minced garlic clove


Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Chill. A healthy dressing for green salads or pasta.




Creamy Garlic Italian Dressing

1/2 cup low-fat buttermilk
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1 medium-size garlic clove, minced
2 water-packed artichoke hearts, rinsed, chopped
1/4 small onion, minced
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. tamari or soy sauce
1 tsp. cider or wine vinegar
1/4 tsp. dried leaf oregano
1/4 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 generous tsp. minced fresh parsley


Place all ingredients, except parsley, in a food processor fitted with the metal blade. Process until smooth. Add parsley. Pour into a bowl, cover and refrigerate until chilled. Dressing can be refrigerated up to 3 days.

Makes 1 cup. 8 calories per tablespoon.


Creamy Italian Dressing

1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 small onion
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper


Combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, Italian seasonings, garlic, onion, sugar, salt and pepper in a blender and mix on high until smooth. Cover and chill.




Creamy Italian Dressing

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tbl. milk
1 tbl. wine vinegar
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. sugar
salt and pepper to taste


Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Chill several hours to blend flavors.

3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tbs. wine vinegar
1 tbs. lemon juice
1 tbs. corn oil
1 tbs. water
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 tsp. sugar
1 small garlic clove, minced
3 oz. milk


Combine ingredients. 1 cup.
