French Dressing
1 cup sugar
1 Tbl. salt
1/2 cup water
juice of 1 lemon
1 cup salad oil
1 cup catsup
1/2 cup vinegar
1 grated onion
1 clove garlic
In a saucepan, mix together the first 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil and continue cooking until light brown. Allow to cool a bit then add remaining ingredients and mix well. Put in jar and refrigerate.
