Layered Fruit Salad

2 pkgs (4 oz. size) or 1 (8 oz.) JelloŽ, orange or strawberry flavored
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 cup cold water
ice cubes
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 cup cut up fruit*
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon


Dissolve gelatin in the boiling water. Combine the cold water with enough ice cubes to make 2 1/2 cups. Add to the gelatin. Add the lemon juice and stir until slightly thickened. Remove any unmelted ice. Set aside 1 cup of the gelatin mixture. Add chosen fruit to the rest of the jello and pour into a serving bowl.

Combine the 1 cup of gelatin with the cream cheese and cinnamon in a blender. Blend at high speed until smooth. Carefully spoon this over the fruit/gelatin mixture. Chill about 2 hours until set. Garnish as desired.

Suggested fruits: bananas, strawberries, halved seedeless grapes or orange segments.
