Egg Nog Jello

3 oz. pkg. lemon JelloŽ
1 cup boiling water
1/4 cup cold water
3/4 cup egg nog (canned or fresh)
1 (11 oz.) can Mandarin oranges
8 oz. can pear halves, diced
3 oz. pkg. cherry jello
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts


Dissolve lemon Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1/4 cup cold water. Measure 3/4 cup of the mix and add egg nog to that. Pour into a dish or mold. Chill to set, but not firm.

Drain fruits, measuring syrup; add water to make 3/4 cup.

Dissolve cherry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Add measured liquid (3/4 cup), remaining lemon gelatin and nuts. Chill until thickened. Add diced pears. Spoon over egg nog mix.

Arrange oranges in gelatin near the edge of dish or mold, pressing them in lightly. Chill until firm.

Unmold and garnish with orange sections and nuts.
