Broccoli Slaw

1 (3 oz.) pkg. ramen noodles, broken
5 cups broccoli floretes
1 cup chopped celery
1 med. red onion chopped (1/2 cup)
1/2 sugar
1/2 cup salad oil
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/4 cup sunflower nuts
salt and pepper


Remove seasoning packets from noodle packages. Discard or save for later use. In large bowl, combine uncooked ramen noodles, broccoli, celery, and onion.

In small bowl, whisk or stir together sugar, oil, and vinegar until sugar is dissolved. Pour over broccoli mixture. Cover and refrigerate the salad for 12-24 hours, stirring occasionally. Before serving, stir in the almonds and sunflower nuts. Makes 10 side dish servings
