Wilted Lettuce Salad
1 head letttuce, cut into bits
5-6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled, reserve grease
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
salt and pepper, to taste
Put lettuce in large bowl and top with crumbled bacon
To bacon grease, vinegar, sugar and water. Bring to boil. Should be a little thick. Pour over lettuce. Salt and pepper.
