Leora's Sloppy Joes

3 lbs. ground beef (lean)
2 large onions diced
6 large stalks of celery diced
6 large carrots cleaned and diced
2 green peppers cleaned and diced
2 tsp. garlic
1 Tbl. seasoned salt
2 (10 3/4 oz.)cans cream of mushroom soup
3 (12 oz.) cans of tomato paste
1 large can of tomato jucie
1 to 2 cups crushed Corn flakes

Saute the veggies and set aside.

Brown the ground beef with the seasoned salt and garlic stirring constantly so you don't burn the garlic. Add sauteed veggies and mix well. Add the soup and tomato paste and mix well again; add the tomato juice. Bring to boil and then reduce heat to simmer and cook for 1 1/2 hours, stirring often.

When that time is over you will see that it is still pretty juicy. That is where the corn flakes come in. Crush those babies and add them to the sloppy joes. Add a cup or two of crushed corn flakes, starting with 1 cup and adding more as needed. Let sit for flakes to absorb juice. It will soak up and thicken and you don't want a cereal taste. If you need more add some more later. These sloppy joes won't be so sloppy but they will be very good.
