Bourbon Sausage Dogs

2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2/3 cup ketchup
1/2 cup bourbon
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 (16-ounce) package bun-length smoked sausage
8 hot dog buns
Coleslaw (see below)


Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large skillet over low heat; add sausage. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Serve on buns with Coleslaw. Prep: 10 min., Cook: 30 min. Makes 8 servings


Coleslaw

1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 teaspoons celery seeds
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 (10-ounce) package finely shredded cabbage


Stir together first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; add shredded cabbage, tossing to coat. Chill until ready to serve. Prep: 5 min. Makes about 3 cups
