Hot Dogs: Mexican Hot Dogs by pepe

Mexican Hotdogs

10 corn tortillas
1 package hotdogs
1 block small cheese
onion (optional)
wooden toothpicks
oil for deep frying


Heat the oil for deep frying.

Split the hotdogs lenghtwise, but not all the way through. Cut the cheese into strips and place 1 strip in the hotdog. Add onions if desired.

Heat the tortillas to make them easier to handle and to prevent spliting. Roll the hotdogs in the tortilla using a toothpick to hold everything in place. Deep fry and drain on paper towels. Makes 10

Some of the cheese is going to melt out and so will the some of the onions if used. When they are done we usually serve them with salsa and/or guacamole to dip them in. Sometimes nacho sauce.
