Balsamic Brown Sugar Sauce
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3 teaspoons olive oil
1/4 cup shallot -- minced
2/3 cup dry red wine
2/3 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Heat oil over medium heat. Add shallots and saute for about a minute. Add wine and broth; stir. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
Add vinegar, sugar and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
Yields about 8 tablespoons of sauce.
NOTES : Serve with chicken or pork
