Butterscotch Sauce

Butterscotch Sauce 

1 cup brown sugar 
2 Tbl. flour 
speck of cinnamon 
1/4 tsp. salt 
1 cup boiling water 
2 Tbl. butter 
1/2 tsp. vanilla 

Mix the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt.  Add to the boiling water. 
Cook for 5 minutes, and stir continually. Beat in the butter and vanilla. 

Serve hot on ice cream, custard, or pudding.
