Pasta: Creamy Pasta Sauce

Creamy Pasta Sauce

2 or 3 Tbl. butter or olive oil
2 or cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese
1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 pints heavy whipping cream
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
1-2 tsp. grated lemon zest, optional
juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon, optional


Melt butter (or heat oil) and saute garlic, just til tender. Add cream and let cook til thickened a bit (maybe 5 minutes or so). Add cheeses, stirring til melted and sauce thickens to desired consistency.
