Fried Liver Treats for Dogs

2 eggs
1 tablespoon butter (15 milliliters)
1 cup flour (250 grams) -- whole wheat flour is very good
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2 milliliters)
1 pound chicken livers (500 grams)

Separate eggs into yolks and whites. Beat egg yolks. Melt butter.

Then make a batter by mixing egg yolks, melted butter, flour, and garlic powder. Cover and refrigerate batter for 3 to 12 hours.

Just before frying, beat egg whites to stiff peaks. Add beaten egg whites to batter. Coat chicken livers in batter, then deep-fry in oil or fat heated to 365 °F (185 °C) until golden brown. Cool completely.

Serve one piece at a time, as a treat!
