Gorp Trail Mix Recipes

Gorp
(Makes 6 Cups)

1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1 cup shelled peanuts
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup honey
2 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 cup M&M's
1 cup chopped mixed dried fruit
1/2 cup raisins


Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

In bowl, combine oats, peanuts, coconut and wheat germ.

Combine honey and oil and stir into oat mixture. Spread out in a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake in 300 degrees oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until light brown, stirring every 10 minutes. Remove from oven and transfer to another greased pan; cool without stirring.

Break into large pieces. Stir in candies, fruit and raisins. Store in tightly covered containers.



TRAIL MIX

1 1/4 cups raisins
3 1/2 oz. sunflower seeds
7 oz. roasted peanuts
1/2 cup coconut flakes


Mix and store in an airtight container.
