Granola
Servings: 6
10 cups Fashioned oats
1 cup Wheat germ
1/2 lb. Shredded coconut
2 cups Raw sunflower seeds
1 cup Sesame seeds
3 cups Chopped almonds, pecans and walnuts
1 1/2 cups Packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups Water
1 1/2 cups Oil
1/2 cup Honey
1/2 cup Molasses
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Cinnamon
3 tsp. Vanilla
Granola bars
raisins or other dried fruit optional
Preheat oven to 300. Combine oats, wheat germ, coconut, seeds and nuts Blend well in large sauce pan combine brown sugar, water, oil, honey and molasses, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Heat until sugar dissolves but not to boiling.
Pour syrup over dry ingredients and stir until well coated. Spread in 5 13x9 baking pans bake 20-30 minute stirring occasionally. 15
min longer che(u)(r)drier (I think this means chewier and drier) Cool.
Add fruit if desired. Store in cool dry place. Makes 20 cups.
