Caramel Popcorn

1/2 lb. butter
2 Cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 Cup dark Karo syrup
6 Cups popped popcorn
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 brown paper bag


In heavy saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, Karo syrup. Bring to a boil; boil 5 minutes. Add soda, stirring constantly.

Pour popcorn into brown paper bag and add caramel mixture. Close top of bag and shake - until mixture is thoroughly coated.

Place bag into microwave and heat on high for 5 minutes. Take out of microwave and shake, shake, shake and repeat in microwave for another 5 minutes. Shake thoroughly again. Let cool before serving.
