Popcorn Balls
12 cups popped popcorn
1/2 stick of margarine
1 bag (10 1/2 oz.) Kraft miniature marshmallows
1 pkg (4-serving-size) Jello gelatin, any flavor
Pour popcorn in huge bowl. In heavy saucepan melt margarine and marshmallows until completely melted and blended. Remove from heat and add Jello, stirring to completely mix color through. Pour over popcorn and stir until all of popcorn is covered. Butter your hands and make balls of desired size. Place on waxed paper until completely cool.
My kids loved these and even grownups because the Jello sort of cut the sickening sweet taste. We used Orange for Halloween or Green or red for Christmas. You could also add 1 cup peanuts and 3/4 cup M & M's to the popcorn.
If you didn't want to make balls for Christmas try shaping it like a wreath and decorate with red hots and a licorice string bow.
