Rocket Popsicles
makes 10
10 (seven ounce) plastic disposible cups
heavy duty foil
10 popsicle sticks
10 pieces Twizzlers pull- n- peel
red layer:
3 ounces cherry Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
white layer:
3 ounces sparkling white grape Jello
1 cup boiling water
8 ounces vanilla yogurt
blue layer:
3 ounces berry blue Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
Place plastic cups on counter.
Red Layer: In a bowl mix together cherry Jello and boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Stir in cold water. Pour 1/4 cup of mixture into each cup. Cover each cup with a 6" x 4" piece of heavy duty foil or two layers of regular foil. Cut a small slit in the middle of foil and insert popsicle stick. Halfway between the stick and the edge of the cup poke a small hole in the foil with tip of the knife, twisting knife to make the hole round, just big enough to insert Twizzler piece and pushing Twizzler in to touch the bottom of cup. Place in the freezer 15 minutes or until gelatin sets.
White Layer: In a bowl dissolve white grape Jello in boiling water. Stir in vanilla yogurt. Remove cups from freezer. Carefully lift one side of foil pour in 1/4 cup of white mixture into each cup, a funnel maybe use. Place foil edge back down on cup. Freeze 15 more minutes.
Blue Layer: In a bowl dissolve blue Jello in boiling water. Stir in cold water. Remove cups from freezer and lift side of the foil and pour 1/4 cup of blue mixture into each cup. Place foil back down on edge of cup. Place back in the freezer. Freeze at least 3 hours or up to a week.
Snip sides of cup to remove.
