Vegetable Beef Barley Soup

1/2 pound ground beef -- extra lean
14 1/2 ounces beef broth
14 1/2 ounces stewed tomatoes -- canned
1 package frozen mixed vegetables
8 ounces tomato sauce
1/3 cup barley -- quick cooking type


In a large saucepan, brown ground beef; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium; cover and cook 10-15 minutes or until vegetables and barley are tender, stirring occasionally.
