Meatball dough:
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. onion powder


Mix all of the ingredients thoroughly. Form small meatballs and set aside.

Soup recipe:
6 cups liquid (water or any kind of broth)
1 large onion, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 potato, diced
1/2 cup of barley
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. celery salt
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dill


Place liquid into soup pot. Add the onion, celery, potato and barley. Boil for approximately 45 minutes or until vegetalbes are tender and barley is done.

Add butter, pepper, celery salt, salt, dill and meatballs and cook another 15 minutes until meatballs are done.

Garnish with a sprinkle of dill and a Tbsp. of sour cream per bowl.
