French Onion Soup
1 1/2 pounds onions, sliced thin (6 cups)
1 stick butter, no substitute
3 (10 oz.) cans of beef broth
2-2 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. cracked pepper
1/8 tsp. Curry powder
1/16 tsp. Garlic powder
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Mozzarella cheese
French bread toasted with garlic butter (optional)
Saute onions in butter until tender about 20 minutes. Add beef broth and remaining ingredients except cheese.
Cook over low heat for at least 10 minutes.
Place mozzarella cheese in bottom of soup bowls pour hot soup over cheese and top with Parmesan cheese.
Add toasted French bread.
