Mom's Clam Chowder

4 diced, peeled potatoes
4 stalks celery diced
1 lb. bacon, diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans cream of potato soup
2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans cream of celery soup
fresh parsley, minced
2 (4 1/2 oz.) cans chopped clams with juice
1 qt. milk
3-4 Tbl. cornstarch, if needed
1/2c water


Spray bottom of stockpot with Pam.

Place potatoes and celery in 1 inch of cold salted water and bring to a boil. Simmer til done.

Meanwhile, fry bacon and onion in same pan. Add to potatoes. Add all ingredients except for milk, cornstarch, and water.

Slowly warm. Add milk slowly, stirring and simmer for awhile, cook til hot.

Make cornstarch/water paste.

Slowly add to hot mixture.
