Dump Stew

3 lbs. stewing beef 
1 envelope onion soup mix 
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can golden Mushroom soup 
1 (4 to 8 oz., to taste) can Mushrooms, drained 
1 cup red wine 
1/4 cup dry sherry 
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen sliced carrots 
1 tsp. dried thyme leaves 


Bake covered for 3 hours or in crockpot 8 to 9 hours. 
 
Microwave according to your oven's instructions.
