5 cans sliced beets
3 cups thinly sliced onion
2 1/2 cups cider vinegar
1 1/2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 TBSP. mustard seed
1 TBSP. allspice
1 TBSP. cloves
3 sticks cinnamon
Place all ingredients in deep pan and boil until beets are tender.
