Crispy Fried Cabbage

1 Cabbage, cut in small wedges
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1-1/2 cup flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup mustard


Cut cabbage into small wedges. Beat together egg, mustard and milk. Sift together flour, salt and pepper. Dip wedges in egg mixture, then in flour, (for a crispier batter, repeat) Fry in hot fat until browned.
