Corn Fritters
2 cups Bisquick® or Jiffy mix®
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of corn meal
2 (11 oz.) cans Mexicali corn, drained
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons dried onions
1/4 teaspoon dried dill and chives (optional)
Preheat deep fryer and oil as directed by manufacturer.
Mix all ingredients together and drop by heaping tablespoons into hot oil.
Fry until golden and remove to paper towels to drain and keep warm until
service.
