  Dry Sauteed String Beans

  2 tablespoons soybean oil
  5 oz. string beans
  1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  1 teaspoon chopped ginger
  1/4 teaspoon salt
  1/4 teaspoon sugar 
  1 oz. chopped pickled Chinese radish and preserved vegetables
  1 teaspoon chopped scallions
  1 tablespoon soy sauce
  1 tablespoon white wine
  1/4 tablespoon white vinegar


Remove fibers from beans.  Wash and drain.

Heat oil in frying pan and saute beans with garlic, ginger, salt and sugar.
Cover and stir-fry alternately until beans are wrinkled.

Add pickled radish and preserved vegetables, scallions and stir-fry with soy sauce, wine and vinegar.
