Garlic Mashed Potatoes
4 potatoes, peeled and quartered, 1-1/2 lbs
2-4 cloves garlic peeled
4 Tablespoons butter
1/3 cup buttermilk
Kosher salt and white pepper to taste.
2 Tablespoons minced garlic chives or regular chives.
Cook potatoes and garlic until tender in boiling water. Drain and mash with butter, buttermilk, salt and pepper. Stir in chives.
They are best with the garlic chives but if all you can get is regular it works OK as long as you use enough garlic.
