Dilly Green Beans

2 1/2 cups of vinegar
2 1/2 cups of water
1/4 cups of salt
2 pounds of green beans trimmed
1 tsp. cayenne pepper (more or less to taste)
4 cloves of garlic (more or less to taste)
4 heads of dill


In a saucepan mix vinegar, water and salt. Heat to boiling.

Pack beans in hot jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace.

To each pint, add 1/4 tsp. of cayenne, 1 clove of garlic and one head of dill.

Pour hot liquid over beans, leaving 1/4 inch of headspace

Process in canner 5 minutes
