Savory Green Beans
1 (16 oz.) can green beans (or equivalent of cooked beans)
1/4 c. chopped onion
3 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. chopped parsley
1 c. sour cream
3 slices bacon, cooked crisp
Drain beans, reserving about 1 cup of liquid. Cook onion in butter until soft. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in liquid from beans, sugar, vinegar and parsley. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add sour cream and pour mixture over beans; heat through. Crumble bacon over top before serving.
