Kale and Sesame Seeds

1 cup water
2 bunches kale, trimmed and chopped
1 tsp. vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 1/2 tbsp. sesame oil
salt and pepper to taste
5 tsp. sesame seeds, toasted


Boil water in a Dutch oven. Add kale and cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook until the water evaporates, about 3 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic and cayenne for 1 minute. Add kale and cook for 3 minutes. Transfer to a bowl. Toss with sesame oil.

Add salt and pepper to taste and garnish with the sesame seeds.

Serves 6.
