Bistro Onion Tart
Serves 6-8

1 Tbl. extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cube butter
1 tsp. roasted garlic oil
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground pepper
3 large yellow onions, halved lengthwise, thinly sliced crosswise.
Pizza dough (or pie dough) to fill a 9 in. tart or pie plate
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
2 cups Swiss guyere or white cheddar cheese


Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Put the butter, olive oil, and roasted garlic oil in a heated skillet. Salt, pepper and cook the onions until they turn a golden color. Set aside and cool.

Bake the pizza dough 8 minutes in a 425 oven, remove and cool.

Spread the onions on the pizza crust.

Mix the milk, egg and cheese, pour over the onions. Bake 15 minutes in a 425 oven, remove and let cool some before slicing and serving.
