Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Red Potatoes--about 4 lbs.
1 (8 oz.) pkg. of cream cheese
1 tsp. salt-for water to boil potatoes
1/2 stick of butter
Milk


Peel and boil potatoes until tender and drain. Mash with milk as usual. Add softened cream cheese and butter. You can hold these over in a crock pot easily.

If you like garlic mashed potatoes you can add roasted garlic or used the roasted minced garlic in the jar that is found in the produce section of your grocery store. Add about 1 teaspoon.

The cream cheese makes the potatoes very creamy. You can use the low fat. Not the fat free.
