Turnip Mashed Potatoes

2 1/2 lbs. Russet potatoes
1 lb. Turnips
1 stick of butter
1 1/2 cup half, and half
salt and pepper, to taste


Peel, and boil potatoes until tender. Peel, and boil turnips in separate pan until tender. Put drained potatoes, and turnips in a large bowl, and mash until creamy. Add butter, and half, and half and continue to mash until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Pour into a 13x9 pan and bake at 375 degree oven for 45 minutes. Makes 10-12 servings
