Smoked Pork and Sauerkraut

3 Tbsp. Butter
2 Onions -- Thinly Sliced
3 Cups Sauerkraut -- Rinsed And Drained
1 Lb. Boneless Smoked Pork Chops
1 Tbsp. Chopped Green Bell Pepper
1/3 Cup Water
Salt And Pepper -- To Taste


In a large skillet, cook onions in butter until golden brown. Add sauerkraut; cook about 8 minutes or until kraut starts to lightly brown, stirring occasionally.

Add pork, bell pepper, water, salt and pepper. Cover; cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes or until pork is thoroughly heated.


Notes : Browning the sauerkraut boots the flavor.
