Sauteed Sliced Potatoes with Asparagus

Sauteed Sliced Potatoes With Asparagus 
Recipe By : Houston Chronicle-5/30/98 

3/4 pound small red potatoes 
2 cups fat-free, low-sodium chicken broth 
1/2 pound fresh asparagus 
2 teaspoons olive oil 
salt and freshly ground black pepper 


Wash potatoes but do not peel.   Thinly slice potatoes and place in a large saucepan.  Add broth and cover the pan.   Bring to a simmer and cook, covered, 10 minutes.
 
Trim woody stems of asparagus about 1" from bottom; wash asparagus.   Cut asparagus into 2" pieces; add to potatoes, cover and continue to 
simmer 5 min. 

Spoon potatoes and asparagus onto individual plates.  Sprinkle with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
