Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage with Apples
12 oz. Red cabbage
1 clove Garlic
2 tsp. Sesame oil
1 lb. Granny Smith apples, cored & cut into bite size chunks
1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
1 Tbl. Soy sauce (low sodium)
1 Tbl. Honey
1/2 tsp. Ground ginger
Ground black pepper to taste
With a food processor, shred red cabbage and mince a large garlic
clove.
Heat oil in large nonstick pan; add garlic and cabbage. Saute over medium
heat; add diced apples to pan and stir well.
Add remaining ingredients;
cover and cook over low heat until apples are tender, about 7 minutes.
