posted by Linda in San Diego 06-12-98 7:18 AM Potato-Bean Burger 8 medium size potatoes - boiled and mashed 1/2 can (or approx. 150-200 g.) kidney or soya beans, mashed 3 green chilli, minced 1 cube giner, minced 3 tablesp. chopped coriander Salt lemon water according to individual taste 1 small onion - chopped your favourite cooking oil bread crumbs bread for burgers sliced onion, lettuce, ketchup, chilli sauce, optional Mix the mashed potato and mashed beans. Add the green chilli, ginger, coriander, salt, lemon, and onion. Mix together well with 1 tbl. oil, that has been heated in the microwave for 30 seconds. Form into thin patties about the size of the burger bread. Brush with a little oil or water and spread bread crumbs on both sides. Cook until browned on both sides. Warm the burger bread in the oven according to pkg. directions. Place potato-bean burger and toppings in bread. These can also be grill, but leave off the bread crumbs.
